Crossroad wins Don’t Drink and Drive Film Competition

Congratulations to Crossroad the winner of the Don’t Drink and Drive short film competition for 2012.

Crossroad had almost 400 votes with over 1,000 views on YouTube. Commissioned by the W.A. Office of Road Safety. Directed by Terry Taplin, Produced by Dan Thom, with cinematography by Christian Niddrie.
Shot using Acid Flick’s RENT RED Package.

The film depicts a sequence of choices made by a young man about drink driving, switching between the present day and the future.

“’Crossroad’ is a poignant reminder, especially at this time of year, that the choices we make about drink driving today can have lifelong consequences,” said Liza Harvey (The Minister for Road Safety, W.A.)

The videos had a combined view count of 2,137 at the time of the announcement. The Minister appreciated the contestants efforts in sharing the message of road safety with the community.

These films were exhibited nightly in the Northbridge Piazza from Mid-October to the end of November.

Acid Flicks would like to congratulate the talented cast and crew of Crossroad and its fellow contestants.

Crossroads was shot using Acid Flick’s RENT RED Package.
